Trophy Elk & Deer Hunting in Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, & Utah
McClendon’s Guide Service offers the serious hunter a chance to hunt trophy animals in the great Southwest. We gear our pre-season scouting, area selection and hunt locations towards trophy selection. Our hunts are conducted from tent camps, accessible by four-wheel drive vehicles. Hunting is done on foot or horseback.
We have two rifle hunts, the early hunt is during the rut in late September and the late hunt is in November. The early hunt is usually the best. However, it is extremely hard to draw for. Our camps are comfortable wall tents, accessible by four-wheel drive vehicles. In the last four years, our success ratio is better than 80 percent on 6x6 bulls.
We also offer muzzleloader and archery hunts for trophy elk. Arizona and New Mexico consistently produce some of the largest heads in the U.S. These units in Arizona and New Mexico are on a draw, although we do have some landowner permits available (In New Mexico only).
Please contact us for more information on the cost and availability of these permits. All of our archery and blackpowder guides are excellent bowhunters. They know what it takes to get you a good, close shot.
We see and shoot more elk during archery elk season than any other time, which makes it by far our favorite hunt. The bulls are in the rut and bugling which makes for a very exciting hunt.
